As part of our onboarding and service delivery process, GateKey collects business-related information in accordance with the Central Bank of Oman (CBO) regulations. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Know Your Customer (KYC) data

  • National ID or Resident Card of the owners and partners

  • Commercial Registration (CR), licenses, and legal permits

  • Business address and contact details

  • Bank account information (Omani accounts only)

  • Anticipated transaction volume

  • Description of business activities

Additionally, we collect dashboard usage logs and analytics data to monitor system performance and detect potential security or fraud-related incidents.


2. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used for the following purposes:

  • To verify and approve merchant onboarding in line with CBO policies

  • To enable secure access to the GateKey platform and its services

  • To monitor system usage and improve performance

  • To assist in investigations involving suspected fraud or regulatory concerns

  • To comply with data retention and reporting obligations required by CBO

GateKey does not directly process or store cardholder transaction data. All sensitive financial transactions are handled securely through licensed acquiring banks or payment processors.


3. Sharing Your Information

GateKey does not share merchant data with third-party service providers for marketing or analytics purposes.

We may disclose your information only to:

  • The Central Bank of Oman (CBO) upon official request

  • Law enforcement or regulatory authorities when required by Omani law

GateKey does not sell, trade, or rent merchant data.


4. Data Security

GateKey takes data security seriously and implements industry-standard measures, including:

  • Secure data encryption and role-based access control

  • Activity logging for fraud prevention and compliance auditing

  • Platform hardening in line with CBO's approved technical frameworks

  • Secure access credentials and restricted system environments

While no system is 100% immune, GateKey continuously monitors and improves its security posture to protect all business and transaction-related data.


5. Data Access and Visibility

Merchants can view their transaction data and onboarding information through the GateKey dashboard, which is linked to the official CBO transaction ID system.

For privacy and compliance reasons, data cannot be manually updated or deleted. However, if any data appears incorrect or requires a compliance review, merchants may contact GateKey Support.


6. Compliance and Jurisdiction

GateKey is licensed and regulated by the Central Bank of Oman and complies with all applicable Omani data protection, payment, and financial service laws.

All data collected and processed is stored and handled in accordance with CBO-approved standards.


7. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated to reflect service changes, legal obligations, or security upgrades. Any material updates will be communicated through the GateKey dashboard or via email.
